3. Myles Garrett

If it’s not quarterback, it’s pass rusher. That’s the position to build your team around. And, as much as I dislike Myles Garrett for his antics in 2019, he belongs in the elite category. The former number one overall pick is just 24 years old and has totaled 30.5 sacks in his first three seasons — and that’s in only 35 games started.

Last year, Garrett played just 10 games and ended with 10.0 sacks, 11.0 tackles for loss 18 quarterback hits and a pair of forced fumbles. He actually led the league in overall disruption rate at over 18 percent, meaning he either hurried, pressured or sacked a quarterback on over 18 percent of his snaps.

Also. Bears: Roy Robertson-Harris could be next big breakout. light

As one of the league’s youngest, elite pass rushers, he’d be off the board for me at three, assuming Mahomes and Jackson are gone. You have to have a guy who can get to the quarterback leading your defense, and Garrett was the best at doing so in 2019 — and ideally, he only gets better.

Mason Rudolph may not agree with how I have these guys ranked, but the fact of the matter is, Garrett is a heck of a football player and should be for quite some time.
