Future

The future of the Bears is from now until about 2023 as far as a lot of their defense but beyond this year, they need to have an answer at quarterback to help them along. Mitch is younger and cheaper than Foles so rooting for him is the best option. He also has the higher ceiling as a regular-season quarterback so he should be the guy people want to win out of the two if they got to choose.

Obviously, we want the team to win first and foremost, but Mitch has a better chance of being better longer than Foles. He is only going into his third full season in 2020 so there is a slight chance he figures it out just a little bit more. Foles’ best is in the past so rooting for him is not good for the long term interest of this team.

If Mitch gets the nod in 2020 and stinks again, he will simply be gone. They will try to start all over if that is the case and that also might be the best situation. Either way, using Mitch should help them in terms of the future no matter how you look at it.

This is going to be a very interesting season with all of the COVID-19 stuff but hopefully, we can just watch some football. If there is no preseason at all, Trubisky already has an advantage so we will see if he is able to run with it. Either way, we might be rooting for Mitch for these three reasons but the main hope is that the Bears get good enough play from either guy to be in the playoffs.
