Playoffs/Super Bowl

This reason to root for Mitch can apply to both Trubisky and Foles. The Bears have a pretty good roster but they need good quarterback play. If Trubisky is able to give them that then they should be able to be a playoff team in the NFC. Trubisky was pretty good in 2018 and with that defense, they went 12-4 and were a favorite in a home playoff game. We know all about how they lost that game but the fact remains that they had a chance.

This defense is so good. You would think that they can win a bunch of games just by keeping their opponents off the scoreboard enough. They just looked like they started to run out of steam in 2019 because they were on the field so much. If you give them an offense that is better at moving the ball and scoring some points, they will naturally be much more rested.

If that were to happen, the Bears would have a much better chance at being a playoff team like they were in 2018. Trubisky was just good enough for the Bears to have an okay offense in 2018 and it proved to be enough. We should be rooting for more of the same from him in 2020 as they try to take advantage of this great defense. Doing that would get them in the playoffs and potentially pegged as a Super Bowl contender.
