3. Tight End Delanie Walker

Sure, let’s just go sign another old, washed up tight end to throw into the mix, shall we?

Actually, signing Delanie Walker is a phenomenal plan. He may turn 36 before the season starts, but adding Walker for just a 1-year deal would be great for this offense, as a whole.

Walker is one of the most sure-handed tight ends of the last decade, and would give both Foles and Trubisky one more guy they could trust. He is only two seasons removed from his third-straight Pro Bowl and fourth-straight campaign with 800 or more receiving yards.

He might actually be one of the most underrated players of the 21st century, so far. Walker is a tough, savvy veteran who would walk into the tight end room and be able to offer leadership and immediate contributions, which many of the players in this group cannot, at the moment.

His last two seasons have ended due to injury, but if Walker is healthy, he should be on an NFL roster. He’s still too talented not to be. If Pace wants to make an easy decision in regards to Ben Braunecker or Jesper Horsted, adding Walker to the roster seems like a no-brainer.
