Chicago Bulls: 3 stats from 2019-2020 which bring hope
By Ryan Heckman
3. White, LaVine were on a tear last 10 games
During the Bulls’ final 10 games of their season, fans did not see a whole lot of winning. In fact, the team went just 3-7 in those final 10 games. However, what they did see was a back court that was quickly developing into one of the most electric and dynamic in all of basketball.
In those last 10 for the Bulls, Coby White played in every single game. LaVine, meanwhile played in just five of them. But, looking at what they did together, in those games, is pretty mind-blowing. To think the Bulls may finally have their point guard situation figured out, and a true star at shooting guard, is exciting to say the least.
Over those last 10 games, White averaged the following line: 24.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 0.8 steals while shooting over 40 percent from three-point range.
LaVine, meanwhile, posted this line: 27.6 points, 5.2 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.8 steals while shooting nearly 46 percent overall.
If you throw all of that together, your starting back court is averaging 52.3 points, 9.5 assists, 8.4 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game while shooting the ball at a high level, especially from deep.
Take out all of the negativity from this past season. As fans, we know things are going to change. We know the roster will likely look much different over the next two years or so. However, if LaVine and White are two constants, there is plenty of reason to be excited about the direction of this team.
