5. Defensive End Roy Robertson-Harris

Like Bush, I think the Bears were lucky to get Roy Robertson-Harris back for another season. But, this may be his last. With the way his play has been elevated over the last two seasons, he’s had to have played himself into a bigger contract come 2021.

To have Robertson-Harris back as a backup is a luxury for the Bears, but also a necessity. Last year, when Akiem Hicks went down, and then Bilal Nichols, the team got a ton of production from Nicholas Williams along with Robertson-Harris. Williams obviously had more sacks, but Robertson-Harris still disrupted the pass and was a big part of stopping the run.

Now, with Williams in Detroit, it’s all Robertson-Harris’ show if something bad happens. Even if the line remains healthy, Robertson-Harris is a big part of the line.

Robertson-Harris is 26 years old and entering his fourth full season in the NFL. If he plays well as the first guy off the bench in 2020, he’ll easily have himself a bigger contract next year.
