Chicago Bears: 3 players to trade for within the NFC West
By Ryan Heckman
Trade No. 2
This seems outlandish, and it might be. But, let me try to make an argument, here. I’ve talked about Cooper Kupp in the past when referring to a high-reward trade option. Make no mistake, he’d be a high-cost, too.

Let’s just look at the facts, first. The Rams are in a tough spot when it comes to money. This is Kupp’s last year under contract, and next year, he could be wearing a different uniform altogether. The Rams may not be able to afford him, depending upon whether or not they lock up Jalen Ramsey long-term.
The Rams also drafted Van Jefferson in the second round, which tells me they may already have a plan to replace Kupp when he leaves next year. That could be wrong, and so be it. But, for the sake of this argument, the Rams very well could see a future without Kupp.
So, if he came to Chicago for 2020, it would mean the Bears are over-the-top in their quest to go all-in on a Super Bowl run. In all likelihood, they wouldn’t pay Kupp and Allen Robinson top dollar. It simply wouldn’t work. So, this would be a rental. But, at what cost? That’s the real question.
If the Bears could get Kupp for a third rounder, I think they should do it. But, again, that might be a little outlandish for both sides. The Rams would have to know they are going to let Kupp walk if they agreed to that kind of trade.
