Trade No. 1

After the Eagles let Jordan Howard enter free agency, most assumed it was going to be the Miles Sanders show in Philadelphia from this point on. The team seems to really like Boston Scott as a third-down back here and there. But, it is going to be Sanders or bust, for the most part.

The Bears, meanwhile, could use another running back — specifically, a third-down back to compliment David Montgomery. Corey Clement would be a great buy-low candidate for the Bears and would be more than enough to round out their running back room.

While many of us fans wish to see the Tarik Cohen of old return in 2020, there is no guarantee. Cohen is a specific type of talent, and when used correctly, can be dangerous. However, he regressed noticeably last season.

In Clement, the Bears get a back who is much bigger than Cohen and more suited to take carries between the tackles while also being able to catch the football. You might remember him playing a role in the Eagles’ Super Bowl run a couple of years ago when he played with then-Philadelphia quarterback Nick Foles. That’s an interesting connection.

Giving up just a seventh rounder to add a proven backup running back should be an easy decision.
