Chicago Bears: 3 potential trade packages for Dalvin Cook
Trade Three
The Chicago Bears have two running backs that are probably expendable. You already learned about David Montgomery and his somewhat disappointing season as a rookie. Well, they also have Tarik Cohen there and they use him in the wrong way time after time. He is perfect for special play packages but they don’t use him in that role specifically. Well, maybe he could go to the Vikings and become a solid replacement for Cook.
Cohen has been a good player for the Bears in the past but at this point, it just doesn’t seem like they use him right. If he went to a team that had a coach that clearly knows how to use him, it might go a long way in him playing even better. It would be worth it for the Bears to ship him and a future third-round pick over to the Vikings for Cook. Anything to help their awful offense would be a smart move at this point.
There aren’t going to be any first or second-round picks moved for a running back with an injury history. The position gets easier to replace as the years go on so these trades would all be fair. All of these trades are nothing but hypotheticals. It is highly unlikely that these two division rivals ever make a trade of this magnitude with each other, especially when both hope to be division winners and perhaps Super Bowl contenders the following season. Still, it is fun to think about what it might take to get Cook amidst these rumors of him holding out.
