The Chicago Bears might benefit from adding a superstar running back to their offense. If Dalvin Cook is available, he would be worth looking at.

The Chicago Bears need help. They were 8-8 last season. Maybe some teams would be happy with that. But, with the expectations they had, it felt like 4-12. It was a bad year and the offense gets a lot of the blame. Mitchell Trubisky taking a step back hindered the offense big time, but their inability to run the ball was apparent as well.

Well, we don’t know exactly what they have in their current running backs, but if a star becomes available for the taking, it might be wise to go after him. It came out on Monday night that Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is at odds with the organization over a contract extension.

Apparently, he is going to stop participating in team-related activities from this moment forward. This is until he gets what he thinks is a “reasonable” extension. He is willing to hold out from camp and beyond. That would be a massive hit to the Vikings and their offense. They don’t need to lose any more pieces on their offense right now as they are trying to ease some new faces in.

Well, what if the Minnesota Vikings and Dalvin Cook can’t come to an agreement? Would they ever trade him to a division rival? The Chicago Bears have some fair assets that they can give them if the Vikings were willing to do so. It seems like a long shot, but if they are desperate and neither side budges, you never know what happens. It is fun to think about what it would take and these three trades might get it done.
