Round 3, Pick 83

ESPN’s Pick: Wide Receiver Jerry Jeudy

Looking at the fourth round and how we went about re-drafting in the third round, everything seems to make sense now.

First off, ESPN gave the Bears wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, the rookie out of Alabama. While Jeudy is a great player and should have a lengthy career in the NFL, I believe Golladay is the superior talent and will have a better career in the long run — not to mention, Golladay comes a round later.

Another guy who went after Jeudy was Amari Cooper, whom I would much rather have also. In the end, the Bears win with our re-draft because they land an elite, top-tier wide receiver. Plus, they add arguably the best safety in football instead of Jeudy.

Our Pick: Safety Jamal Adams

In just three seasons and by the age of 24, Jamal Adams has established himself as probably the best all-around safety in football. Just three seasons in, Adams has made two Pro Bowls and is coming off his first All Pro selection — first of many, I’m sure.

Adams is the do-it-all safety every team covets. He can easily creep up and man the box, while also dropping back and being a menace in coverage. Adams is everywhere, always finding himself near the football — and on the Jets defense, he gets a lot of play. His body has held up well and he looks like he has another several years of elite play ahead of him. The Bears get one of the leaders of their defense with this pick.
