Chicago Bulls: 5 Superstar free agents that would guarantee the playoffs in 2021-22
The Chicago Bulls should bring Paul George back to the Midwest
Remember when Paul George was in the Eastern Conference and even in the same Central Division. George played for the Indiana Pacers for the first seven years of his career. Is it time for the Chicago Bulls to convince him to come back to the Midwest?
Like many of the players on this list, George has a player option he can either accept or choose to opt-out of. If he becomes available, George needs to be a free agent target for the Bulls. He is a bit older, but would still only be 31 years old during the 2021-22 season. He is an ideal player for this team too makeup too. The team has struggled to find the perfect small forward option, but George is lights out from the three-point line. He would be an ideal wing complement to Zach LaVine.
Not many consider George a superstar, but he was third in both MVP voting and Defensive Player of the Year voting last season. That is not an easy feat. If George is a free agent the Bulls are able to land, then they will definitely have to consider another option to pair with him. Again, I would look at a big man who could dominate. Wendell Carter, Jr. is just not the guy in my opinion and although this not a big man’s game anymore, having a dominant center is important.
In fact, the next guy is someone I would like to see the Bulls bring in to play with any of these additional four except maybe Anthony Davis. That said if Davis was to play power forward, running these two big men with Coby White and Zach LaVine shooting from the outside could be a deadly force.
