1. QB Mitchell Trubisky

You knew this name was going to be on the list. 2020 is truly Mitchell Trubisky’s last chance to prove that he belongs with the Bears. To push him this offseason, the Bears acquired Nick Foles, who they are confident will figure out a way to get the job done if Trubisky falters.

It’s hard to accept that just two years ago, Trubisky was the face of the Bears’ franchise. After leading the Bears to a 12-win season in 2018, Trubisky was expected to finally become a true franchise quarterback in 2019. However, instead, his season was filled with more downs than ups and the Bears limped to an eight win season.

Now, he’s fighting for his starting job. If Trubisky breaks out in 2020, the Bears will be back in the playoffs and the team will likely negotiate an extension with him in 2021. However, if he fails, one of two things will happen. First, he’ll likely be a free agent somewhere or second, he will be out of the NFL.

Right now, due to the current pandemic, we haven’t had a chance to see Trubisky perform. However, it seems as if we could see a different Trubisky in 2020, one that maybe finally will live up to expectations.
