Dylan Strome. 17. player. 94. . C. Chicago Blackhawks

Dylan Strome has had some up and down stretches since coming to the Blackhawks. It has mostly been good, however. He might be a guy that can carry the second line and if he had a winger like Patrick Kane, it might go even better. He spent a lot of time with Kane this season and it was going okay but Strome can certainly be better. It would be one of Kane or Alex DeBrincat playing on the line with him in all likelihood.

If Kane could be on the second line with Strome, that would really be a good way to spread the wealth. It would be easier to spread out the best players on the forward roster if this was the pair and Strome would have a chance to have an elite player on his wing. It would be really helpful for him as he tries to get some first time experience in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

We often talk about the keys to winning a series. Well, Strome’s play is definitely a big key to defeating the Oilers. With McDavid, Draisaitl, and Nugent-Hopkins lining up at center for the Oilers, Chicago’s centers need to be on their game. Strome was okay in 2019-20 but having Kane on his line might really help him redeem himself and make the year a big win for him and his pocketbook.
