Trade One

The Bears don’t need Watt as much as they need some offensive help but at this point you might as well go with what makes you successful. The Bears have a fantastic defense so adding someone like Watt would be a very good idea. He would only make them that much more dangerous. It would also make them more likely to force turnovers because you would go from three to four players who can get to the quarterback on a regular basis.

Watt would also be able to take the pressure off the other guys on the defensive line. Offensive coordinators would have to pick their poison in terms of who to double or potentially triple the team. That is why the Bears would be wise to take him and a sixth for Bilal Nichols and a third-rounder.

The Bears could afford to trade away someone like Nichols if the acquired Watt because that would stack their defensive line. Nichols would be a good addition to the Texans as a defensive tackle, especially if they were to lose Watt. Downgrading the third-round pick to the sixth-round pick is notable but let’s be honest, Ryan Pace isn’t all that good at drafting in the first place.
