Trade Two

As mentioned before, high draft picks mean very little when it comes to Ryan Pace’s decisions. They didn’t have a first-round pick in 2020 or 2019 because of the Khalil Mack deal. Nobody hates that because Khalil Mack is far and away from the best player on the roster and one of the best players in the league. In 2018 they drafted Roquan Smith, in 2017 they drafted Mitchell Trubisky, in 2016 they selected Leonard Floyd, and in 2015 they selected Kevin White.

Smith is probably the best of them and hopefully, one who becomes a star. The rest of them are wildly underwhelming. That is why forfeiting it, along with Tarik Cohen, to the Dallas Cowboys for Prescott is something they should do. Dallas was 8-8 in 2019 so they could probably use it and likely won’t use it in a way where they would be in the Bears way anyway.

As for Tarik Cohen, he would fit in nicely in the Dallas offense. If they let Dak go and moved to Andy Dalton, they would probably use the running game in various ways. They have one of the best running backs in the NFL with Ezekial Elliot who they just paid instead of Dak. Well, if you add Cohen for certain option type plays, Mike McCarthy might welcome that. This could be a deal where both teams get something they need out of it.
