99. . RW. St. Louis Blues. Vladimir Tarasenko . 2. player

The St. Louis Blues finally did it in 2019. After half a century of not getting it done, they won the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history. They have had some really good teams over the years but they all fell just short of that main goal. One of the mainstays of their team during their really good 2010s decade is Vladimir Tarasenko. He has been one of the best offensive players in the world for a long time. He was a huge part in securing St. Louis’ first-ever Cup last season.

Tarasenko is primarily known as one of the league’s best snipers. He might never be a 100 point player but he just scores lots of goals. He is a guy who could find himself in the race for the Rocket Richard as the league’s leading goal scorer one day. He has 214 goals and 214 assists for 428 points in 507 games played with St. Louis.

Another fact about Tarasenko is that he is a Blackhawks killer. He has been amazing against them in the playoffs and in the regular season, he has 19 goals and 11 assists for 30 points in 28 games played. Those 19 goals against Chicago are three more than he has had against any other team in the NHL  (Dallas is in second with 16). He is certainly filled with an extra bit of emotion when he is up against the Hawks.

Tarasenko has been injured for most of this season as he has only played in 10 games with the defending Stanley Cup Champions. The good news for them is that if they return to play for the playoffs, they will have a fully healthy Tarasenko ready to go.
