Chicago Blackhawks: Five best division rivals since 2009-10

Chicago Blackhawks fans know a thing or two about good goaltending. Corey Crawford has been one of the league’s best goalies for almost the entire decade. Well, Nashville Predators goalie Pekka Rinne has been one of the few that were better than him during that run. Rinne is the best goalie the Central Division has seen in a long time and still is to this day.

Rinne has spent his entire career with the Nashville Predators. They haven’t had as much team success as the Blackhawks but they have still been an elite team throughout. They have a President’s Trophy and a Western Conference Championship during Rinne’s time in goal. He is going to go down as one of the best goalies of his generation and probably the best player in Nashville’s short history.

In Rinne’s career, he has a 2.42 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage to go with his record of 359-201-74. He won the Vezina Trophy as the league’s top goalie for his play in 2017-18 where he had a record of 42-13-4 with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .927 save percentage. Rinne has been beaten by the Hawks in the playoffs but he has also beaten them. It has been a great career for him as he gets closer to the end.
