Chicago Blackhawks: Five best division rivals since 2009-10
The Chicago Blackhawks have had to deal with Tyler Seguin in many different scenarios. Their first-ever major encounter with him was when they played against the Boston Bruins in the 2013 Stanley Cup Final. Seguin was a member of the Bruins for those three seasons prior and was a very good up and coming player for them. Well, the day Bryan Bickell and Dave Bolland scored 17 seconds apart to win the Hawks their second cup in four years, was Seguin’s last game with the Bruins.
The Bruins traded him over to the Dallas Stars that offseason in a blockbuster deal. He has been a division rival ever since. Seguin is a very good player that has the skills to be one of the best players in the world. His offensive numbers have been down lately as Dallas has adopted a defensive system that limits their stars a little bit but Seguin is still one of the league’s best offensive players.
In 538 games played with Dallas, he has 223 goals and 291 assists for 514 points. He is very close to a point per game player in his career with them and has been an elite player basically since he arrived there. He was still trying to find his way with the Bruins but his arrival in Dallas turned him into the player he is today. He is not an easy player to contain if you are a division rival like the Blackhawks.
