2. Episode Five

Once episode five ended it marked the halfway point of the documentary. It was a brilliant episode that had plenty of reasons to love it. This was an episode that told something beyond the story of the Chicago Bulls. They went into detail about how Michael Jordan and the Bulls affected the 1992 United States Men’s Olympic Basketball Team, otherwise known as “The Dream Team”.

This episode hit everyone because it showed how that team started to come together. Jordan led a group of studs like Scottie Pippen, Larry Bird, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, and Magic Johnson amongst others to an Olympic Gold Medal. They were so dominant in that run and by the time it was all said and done it was clear that they were the greatest team ever assembled.

This episode also went over a juicy story that involved some drama. Isiah Thomas was left off the squad because of the fact that Jordan didn’t like him very much. The Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons had some intense battles over the years that led to each of them winning a few titles up to that point. There was some fear that Jordan wouldn’t participate if Thomas was on the team so he was left off. It was clear that things were personal at times.
