Current QB Situation

The Chicago Bears have a less than ideal quarterback situation. Mitchell Trubisky was a bust of a second overall pick and it hurts even more when you look at who was drafted behind him. Number 15 in Kansas City has a chance to go on and be on the same level as Tom Brady in terms of being the greatest of all time. Trubisky is not the answer and never will be.

They brought in Nick Foles to be a safety net for when Trubisky inevitably plays poorly in 2020. He hasn’t proved that he is a good quarterback unless it is in a relief role either. He has probably had the most unique up and down career in the history of the National Football League. You already learned about Wilson’s 86-41-1 record that he has in his career so clearly Trubisky’s 23-18 record or Nick Foles’ 26-22 record isn’t going to compete with that.

Trubisky just saw the Bears leave his 5th-year option on the table. Foles will only have an 8 million dollar cap hit in 2021. For those reasons, the Bears could easily move on from either of them after the 2020 season if the Seahawks did want to get rid of him. It would be a tremendous upgrade for the Bears to move on from them to Russell Wilson. He isn’t far behind Patrick Mahomes on the list of best quarterbacks in the NFL.
