Winning Experience

The Chicago Bears don’t do a lot of winning these days. They were 8-8 in 2019 but it felt like they were 4-12 because of the fact that the 8-8 came in a year where people legitimately thought they were a Super Bowl contender. Well, they regressed again and were just lousy all season long. From week one on, they never gave a single impression that they were ever going to be as good as we thought. Even when they were 3-1 it felt weird.

Well, Russell Wilson knows nothing but winning. There is only one team that won more football games in the 2010s than the Seattle Seahawks. Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the New England Patriots. That’s it. That is the only team. The Seahawks have one Super Bowl win and one Super Bowl loss in Wilson’s career.

They won Super Bowl XLVIII over the Denver Broncos. Denver’s quarterback that year was Peyton Manning who the Bears couldn’t beat in Super Bowl XLI and their head coach was John Fox who was a bad coach in his tenure with the Bears.

All of these negative connections just show how much of a loser franchise the Bears have become. They need someone like Rusell Wilson to come over and bring a little bit of culture change. Wilson has a career record of 86-41-1. The worst record he has ever had was when they went 9-7 in 2017 and that is the only year they didn’t win double-digit games with him under center.
