NFL Draft 2020: Best pick made by each NFC North team
Green Bay Packers: Josiah Deguara, TE, Cincinnati
Round 3, 94th Overall
It was a tough 2020 NFL Draft performance for the Green Bay Packers. Despite making it all the way to the NFC Championship Game last season, the Packers seemed to be building their team for the future in the 2020 NFL Draft.

It began with the baffling trade up for quarterback Jordan Love in the first round. Love is a talented quarterback who has some big-time upside at the next level, but this pick simply does not make any sense for a team that should be working toward making a Super Bowl run with Aaron Rodgers. Their second-round selection of running back AJ Dillon was a similarly odd move with Aaron Jones currently leading their backfield.
Honestly, I did not particularly like any picks that the Packers made in the recent NFL Draft. They did not do a good job of finding value and made odd decisions early that could significantly hurt their chances to compete in 2020. However, the best of their bad picks was the selection of Josiah Deguara in the third round.
Deguara is an interesting tight end/H-back option who has some nice upside as a pass-catcher in the middle of the field. He shows good separation quickness, has the speed to stretch the middle of the field a bit and has good hands. Deguara could quickly become an interesting weapon for Rodgers and the Packers in the passing game.
