Weeks 14-17

Week 14: Sunday December 13th vs. Houston Texans – 12:00PM

All week long, you will hear about the Deshaun Watson versus Mitchell Trubisky comparisons. That’s all fine and dandy, because Bill O’Brien is single-handedly trying to run his franchise into the ground. Chicago will not have to worry about DeAndre Hopkins, and this game ends up being one-sided. Prediction: Win (9-4)

Week 15: Sunday December 20th @ Minnesota Vikings – 12:00PM

The division will be close this year, and the Vikings should be jockeying for a playoff spot at this point, along with the Bears and Packers. Minnesota hosts this one, and I think they come to play. Prediction: Loss (9-5)

Week 16: Sunday December 27th @ Jacksonville Jaguars – 12:00PM

It is the Nick Foles revenge game you’ve all been waiting for! O.K., this won’t be as exciting as it sounds. The Bears will likely blow the Jaguars out of the water in this game, having been especially motivated coming off a divisional loss. Prediction: Win (10-5)

Week 17: Sunday January 3rd vs. Green Bay Packers – 12:00PM

For the first time in what seems like ages, the Bears do not close out the season against the Vikings. Instead, it’s the other bad guys. Only this time, Chicago evens the season series by beating Rodgers and the Packers, cementing themselves as a playoff team and doing it in front of their home crowd. Prediction: Win (11-5)

Hot. Bears: An early, bold 53-man roster prediction. light

All in all, I could easily see the Bears finishing with as low as nine wins, but as many as 12. I truly believe that. To summarize, it’ll be the defense which carries the team and finishes atop the NFL as a unit. Foles will play well enough, and the Bears get into the postseason.
