Chicago Bears 2020 Schedule: 3 intriguing matchups
Taking on a legend
On October 21, 2018, future Hall of Famer and arguably the greatest quarterback of all-time came to Chicago for what was expected to be his final visit to the Windy City and Bears’ fans final chance to see the legend in person.
Although the game ended in a loss for the Bears, it was an incredibly exciting affair, with the Monsters falling about a half-yard short on their Hail Mary.
Brady trotted off the field, and that was that. But no one foresaw at the time that a little more than a year later, Brady would leave the New England Patriots in favor of the warmer weather of Tampa Bay. But that’s exactly what happened, and now Bears fans will get one more chance to watch Brady in the flesh when he returns as a member of the Buccaneers.
As this game will take place in Week 5, on a Thursday night in primetime, that’s potentially good news for the Bears as it would not give Brady, and head coach Bruce Arians much time to get into a rhythm considering the lack of offseason program they are going to have.
