Chicago Bears 2020 Schedule: 5 things we know right now

5. A Nick Foles revenge game will take place in Jacksonville
When the Jaguars signed Nick Foles to a massive deal during free agency in 2019, they did so thinking that he’d end up being the solution to the Jaguars quarterback woes. However, Foles would get injured in 2019, then lose the job to a rookie quarterback before being traded to Chicago in 2020.
Whenever the Bears play the Jaguars, it will be an opportunity for Foles to showcase that the Jaguars made a mistake by trading him to the Bears in favor of Gardner Minshew, who burst onto the scene as a sixth-round quarterback in 2019.
Foles has also proven that when the offensive core around him is stable, he can make some magic happen. This is best evidenced by looking at the two years he recently had with the Philadelphia Eagles, where with a solid offensive line and a competent core of playmakers, he’s able to efficiently run an offense to the point where the defense doesn’t have to be on the field for a majority of the game.
The reality is that while most think that Foles returning to Jacksonville isn’t a big deal, it really is considering he’ll give the Jaguars ownership and front office a chance to show what could have been with him being the face of the franchise.
