Chicago Bears 2020 Schedule: 5 things we know right now
By Usayd Koshul
1. The Bears will host four playoff-caliber teams from the NFC at home
One of the biggest things that the Bears will need to do in 2020 is protect Soldier Field. Under Matt Nagy, through two seasons, the Bears are 11-5 at home. In 2020, the Bears will face the Green Bay Packers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Minnesota Vikings, and New Orleans Saints.
What’s significant about three of the four teams listed above is that they made the playoffs in 2019. The Packers, Saints, and Vikings, all represented the NFC in 2019 and will look to do the same in 2020.
While the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t make the postseason in 2019, they did sign quarterback Tom Brady while also trading for tight end Rob Gronkowski this offseason making them one of the most dangerous teams in the NFL heading into 2020.
The point is that the Bears will need to win against at least three of the four teams above at home in order to potentially have a first-round by or at least play a home playoff game in January at Soldier Field.
