Shakeup in the future?

As mentioned above, prior to joining the Bulls, Eversley was the Vice President of Player Personnel for the Philadelphia 76ers beginning in 2016. The 76ers have orchestrated perhaps one of the most famous rebuilds in recent memory. The Bulls, on the other hand, have been mired in some phase of a rebuild for years. Eversley saw first-hand just how to build a competitive team through the draft from the ground up.

Eversley also apparently has an eye for talent, having recognized the potential of a number of stars very early on. Those players include DeMar DeRozan, Damian Lillard, and Matisse Thybulle.

In his introductory press conference, Eversley also emphasized his desire to create a culture to attract higher-profile free agents to Chicago, which is something that has been an issue for the Bulls for a number of years. From the front office to the head coach to a lot of things in between, the team had trouble getting start players to the Windy City via free agency. Eversley is looking to change that.

When you combine his ability to identify talent, his witnessing first hand the power of a rebuild, and his state commitment to bringing bigger starts to Chicago, it is not hard to see this roster getting a complete makeover in the next couple of seasons.
