LW. Chicago Blackhawks. Brandon Saad. 2. player. 94.

Brandon Saad has had an up and down tenure with the Chicago Blackhawks. It started on a very high note when they won the Stanley Cup twice in his first three years with the team. He was an integral part of both teams that won it all. He is a power forward that can win puck battles, score, and play defense. He will always be remembered fondly for his contributions to some of the best years the team has ever had.

He was then traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets because Chicago couldn’t afford to give him a contract extension for the amount of money he deserves. He had some very good years in Columbus as he started to reach his prime. Well, Chicago traded superstar Artemi Panarin to get him back which was a major mistake. Saad is good but Panarin is now one of the five best offensive players in the league.  It has also put pressure on Saad and he hasn’t lived up to it.

Saad is still one of the better forwards on the Hawks so they could probably fetch a pretty nice return for him. He also only has one year left on his deal so that team would probably be looking for an extension for him as well. If a team offered a pretty good defenseman for Saad, the Blackhawks would almost have to do it.
