More from Da Windy City

Starters: Charles Leno Jr., James Daniels, Cody Whitehair, Germain Ifedi, Bobby Massie

This is a unit that was less than average last year, but I think the main group returns with veteran Germain Ifedi stepping in as a starting guard. Hopefully, Luis Castillo can get the best of this group which performed well in 2018.

The one guy I want to see play with a sense of urgency and much more concentrated effort is Charles Leno Jr. His 2019 showed regression, for sure, and the Bears need their left tackle to be at his best.

I’d also like to see James Daniels take a step forward. He has to take a leap in 2020, proving he was worth the second-round status two years ago.

Reserves: Rashaad Coward, Alex Bars, Jason Spriggs, Arlington Hambright

I like the potential of Rashaad Coward, as I have since he made the switch from defense. I also think Alex Bars still has tremendous upside. The wildcard here is Jason Spriggs. is he healthy? If so, I believe he makes this roster and offers the Bears a phenomenal backup.

The first bit of somewhat bold news is seeing 2020 seventh-round draft pick Lachavious Simmons being cut. Fellow seventh rounder Arlington Hambright makes the team, however.
