2. Body control

There is something to be said about a big guy who has firm control over his body movement in multiple aspects of the game. In Kmet, the Bears get a smart, calculated football player.

Obviously, he’s a big target. Even with his 6-foot-6 frame, Kmet knows how to adjust his body to the ball, even before it’s thrown. He has a knack for knowing where defenders are at and being able to position himself better to catch the ball.

Whether it’s taking one subtle step further forward into a crossing route to create more separation or simply coming back to the football, Kmet helps his quarterback in that respect. Not only does he do well getting in position before the catch, though, but Kmet is phenomenal in the air.

Again, for his size, there shouldn’t be many guys out there who can completely adjust their body in mid-air in order to catch the football. But, Kmet can do that. His background as a two-sport athlete certainly helps in that regard.

His wingspan and catch radius obviously contribute to Kmet’s uncanny ability to go get the football, too. Did I mention he helps his quarterback out? Having that big of a body with a huge catch radius will do wonders for both Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles.
