Chicago Bears: 2021 trade packages for Aaron Rodgers
Trade Two
The Chicago Bears stink at drafting in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft. Ryan Pace has been overall horrible at it so giving up these two for Aaron Rodgers is a no brainer. They would be keeping the one for the 2021 draft to avoid four straight years without one but giving them 2022 and 2023 firsts is something they should do if it meant adding Rodgers.
The Bears have a win-now type of roster. If they went on the deep playoff runs that they probably would with a quarterback like Rodgers, the picks would probably be in the 25-32 range anyway. Their chances of adding a superstar with that pick, especially with Ryan Pace making the selections, would probably be small anyway.
The only downside to this trade could be a big one. The possibility of Rodgers coming to Chicago, getting hurt, and the Bears being terrible. That could lead to them drafting another quarterback or skilled player with the Bears pick they gave them to torment Chicago for a long time. That would fit the mold of the Chicago Bears franchise in almost every way so it is a scary thought. Still, acquiring someone who can help your team win the Super Bowl if healthy should always be considered.
