Green Bay Packers

The Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers make up the biggest, best, and longest-running rivalry in the entire National Football League. You can even put it up there with Ohio State vs Michigan, Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees, Boston Bruins vs Montreal Canadiens, or Duke vs North Carolina for the best rivalry in sports. Because of that fact, it is with great pleasure that the Packers had themselves a terrible 2020 NFL Draft.

Obviously, they have a top-ten quarterback who ever lived in Aaron Rodgers. Well, in his 15 year NFL career, they have never drafted a skill position player to help him. He made mention of that fact on a podcast earlier in the day so what do they do? They go out and trade up to draft his potential successor in Jordan Love. They were a game away from the Super Bowl back in January so you would think that they are in win-now mode. Instead, they probably offended the greatest player to ever play for him.

This is how their draft looked:

Pick 26 – Jordan Love – QB

Pick 62 – A.J. Dillon – RB

Pick 94 – Joshiah Deguara – TE

  • Pick 175 – Kamal Martin – LB
  • Pick 192 – Jon Runyan – OL
  • Pick 208 – Jake Hanson – C
  • Pick 209 – Simon Stepaniak – G
  • Pick 236 – Vernon Scott – S
  • Pick 242 –

    Jonathan Garvin

    – DL

This was a historically great wide receiver class. There were guys who are going to make an impact at the NFL level at the position going in every round. Aaron Rodgers and the offense needed one and possibly two desperately and they selected zero. They took a running back and a tight end in the top 100 and those are the only two picks out of nine at offensive skill positions. Not only did they have the worst draft in the division, but possibly the worst draft in the NFL.
