Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions got things started for the NFC North in the 2020 NFL Draft. They drafted Jeff Okuudah with the third overall pick in the draft. They bring one of the classes’ best players to the division as he was an incredible cornerback for Ohio State University. It is less than ideal to have him come in and have to make like difficult on Chicago quarterbacks but it pays to have a bad record sometimes.

The Lions still have a lot of work to do, despite having a pretty good draft. They added some impact players who should have an impact on their team right away. Adding D’Andre Swift from Georgia is a huge addition to them at the running back position. He should join Kerryon Johnson in a great duo back there for Detroit.

Their picks looked like this:

This is a pretty good haul for the Lions this draft year. They need Matthew Stafford to stay healthy going forward and that might give them a pretty good chance to win more football games. If not, you might see them looking for their guy in the not so distant future. Who knows, they might even be in the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes this season if the quarterback doesn’t play or play well.

Draft Grade: B+
