Minnesota Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings selected Justin Jefferson, who fell to their first-round pick at number 22 overall. They were given the pick by the Buffalo Bills in the trade that sent Stefon Diggs to Buffalo. It was an interesting trade as the Vikings seem to have sent a wide receiver for a wide receiver. They are lucky that the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t select him with the pick before but it worked out for them. If Diggs didn’t want to be in Minnesota, they have a nice little replacement for him.

They had another pick at 25 but they traded it to the San Francisco 49ers for picks 31, 117, and 176. It was a good way for the Vikings to get some more assets in the draft.  Well, they selected Jeff Gladney of TCU to be their new quarterback. It was a very good couple of picks for the Vikings to propel them into the second round. They went on to have a very productive second night of the draft.

They selected Ezra Cleveland from Boise State. He is going to be their new offensive tackle in an attempt to do a better job at protecting Kirk Cousins. Then, later in the night, they selected Cameron Dantzler of Mississippi State. He is a cornerback that should be a great addition to their defensive backfield. All in all, it has quietly been a very good draft for them.
