One of the biggest surprises, many thought that Xavier McKinney was going to be a surefire first-round pick. Yet he’s now going to be picked somewhere in round two meaning he’ll be a steal for whichever team he ends up with.
The three things to love about McKinney are his tackling, ball skills, and versatility. There were many teams who could have used a versatile defensive back like McKinney but since there was a run on wide receivers and defensive backs, McKinney now has to wait an additional day to hear his name called.
While in college, McKinney played all over the field, proving that when he does make it to the NFL, he’ll be an asset for any team that wants to use him in multiple sub-packages. When looking at the rest of second-round, there are a few teams that could potentially snag McKinney, some of which include: The New York Giants, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins.
