Once In A Lifetime Format

This edition of the 2020 NFL Draft will be something that people will remember forever. It was supposed to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada before the coronavirus did what it did to our world. Well, instead of canceling/postponing the 2020 NFL Draft, they have decided to make it a virtual draft. It is something that is so unique, that people are always going to remember it.

NFL managers are going to make their selections and transactions digitally this year. There will be no stage, no presentations, and no handshakes given when things are done. Instead, the makeup of it won’t be that much different than your annual fantasy football draft each fall. They will be doing it from their own living rooms as social distancing continues to take place.

This is the type of draft that is, hopefully, a once in a lifetime thing. This is the type of thing that we will tell our grandkids about when we watch drafts 30 years from now. “Hey, remember the time that the draft was done virtually because of COVID-19?” will be a question that is asked many years down the line. Despite the Bears not being involved, this aspect of it makes it interesting.
