The Chicago Bears could absolutely use Grant Delpit from LSU. He had a fantastic season en route to the SEC Title, College Football Playoff berth, and ultimately winning the whole thing. It was a perfect season for a team that was pretty close to perfect. Delpit was a major part of that sweet defense at the safety position. It was the type of year that will get him drafted relatively high.

The Bears might be able to have a chance at him at pick 43. He could also go in the later stages of the first round but he could fall. His junior year at LSU probably wasn’t as good as his sophomore year but the defense was much better in the latter year. In 2019 he had 65 total tackles, 2 interceptions, and one sack for the Tigers.

If he came to play for the Chicago Bears, he would be joining one of the best defenses in the National Football League. Going from an elite college defense to an elite NFL defense would have to be a dream come true for any young player like Delpit. He would join a pretty good backfield with guys like Eddie Jackson and Kyle Fuller. They need a second safety so adding Delpit could be an awesome addition.
