Ranking 6th and 7th Round WRs

Let’s not kid ourselves. The Bears have talent at wide receiver. Allen Robinson is a top-15 receiver in this league, and Anthony Miller looks like he should break out in year three. The end of his 2019 campaign, Miller really started to come on and make defenses fear his ability after the catch.

So, it wouldn’t shock me to see the Bears wait til later rounds to draft a receiver, and I’d be fine with that, because Omar Bayless is by far and away my favorite receiver after round four.

1. Omar Bayless, Arkansas State

2. Tyrie Cleveland, Florida

3. Isaiah Coulter, Rhode Island

4. Kalija Lipscomb, Vanderbilt

To be able to get a guy like Bayless this late is incredible. He’s raw, and comes from a small school. But, Bayless is one heck of an athlete. When the ball is in the air, Bayless is a bounty hunter. This guy is freaky when going up for a catch. He possesses that “by any means necessary” mantra when going for the football.

Bayless’ catch radius is absolutely out-of-this-world. He’s 6-foot-1, so he has good size. He isn’t a blazer by any means, but he’s sneaky quick.

Cleveland and Coulter are similar in terms of giving the Bears speed (both ran a 4.45 and 4.46 respectively) but Cleveland is a better athlete and offers more potential down field.

Lipscomb, meanwhile, isn’t the fastest, but he’s a technician with his routes. He isn’t exactly what the Bears are lacking, but he’d be worth a flier late in the draft as a smart football player.
