Ranking 4th and 5th Round WRs

If I’m being honest, I really do hope Pace snags one of the highly-touted names in the second round and skipped the position in the third. I’d love it. The position would be completely solidified. But, if the Bears traded back and ended up with a fourth rounder or even another fifth, the following guys are well-worth selecting here.

1. Tyler Johnson, Minnesota

2. Chase Claypool, Notre Dame

3. Devin Duvernay, Texas

4. Antonio Gandy-Golden, Liberty

5. Quintez Cephus, Wisconsin

Let’s actually start with Claypool. He’s probably the biggest name out of the group and was a huge riser after the Combine. But, I do not believe he is worth anything higher than a fourth-round pick. That said, I don’t think he’ll be there that late and we probably don’t have to talk about him much.

My favorite of this group is by far the Golden Gopher. Johnson’s only real knock is that he doesn’t have breakaway speed. But, he’s crisp with his route-running and makes every difficult catch look routine. His catch radius is way up there with the best of them in this draft, and he’s got a strong, durable frame. Bears quarterbacks would have two guys in he and Robinson who can go up and grab just about any 50-50 ball.

Gandy-Golden is another big body who needs a little polish, but could be a true no. 1 guy eventually. Cephus has had his issues in the past, but has plenty of speed and a wild catch radius.

Duvernay is another burner, like Hamler — he would give the Bears that breakaway element.
