Chicago Bears NFL Draft: Must-have WR targets for each round
By Ryan Heckman
Ranking 3rd Round WRs
The third-round guys don’t blow me away as much as the first, second or even fourth-round receivers. I know that sounds a bit odd, but if the Bears move into the third, I’m hoping they choose to address the offensive line or secondary. That’s just me. But, with that said, these are the guys I’d focus on if I’m Pace.

1. Michael Pittman Jr., USC
2. Van Jefferson, Florida
3. Bryan Edwards, South Carolina
4. Donovan Poeples-Jones, Michigan
You’ve already heard me mention the “true no. 1” type a couple of times, and Pittman has that kind of look to him. To start it off, he’s 6-foot-4. That’s a monster on the outside and in the red zone. He has great speed for his size (4.52) and can make a lot of the tougher catches. His big knock is not being physical enough off the line and creating separation.
Jefferson is a crafty, quick receiver who projects best as a slot receiver which is why I hesitate taking him. Anthony Miller does very well at that position already.
Edwards is a big target (6-foot-3) who makes it easier for quarterbacks to get him the ball with how much space he takes up. But, his route running can use some work. Peoples-Jones, meanwhile, can run routes with the best of him. But, he has a little trouble gaining real separation.
