Round Two, Pick 64: S Kyle Dugger, Lenoir-Rhyne

Originally, the Bears are scheduled to have the 50th overall pick, however, in this mock draft, the Bears trade down 14 spots and acquire a third round pick in the process. Most don’t know Kyle Dugger’s name since he’s from a small division three school.

One of the biggest things that makes Dugger so attractive is the fact that he’s one of the toughest players in the entire draft class. Additionally, for someone who played against lesser competition, Dugger has proven throughout this entire draft process that he’s able to prove his worth against players who have played against division one schools.

Drafting Dugger would mean that the Bears are getting a versatile safety who’s played multiple positions on the defense. He’s played linebacker and safety and also has great speed. The reality with Dugger is that he’s a player who is on the rise.

Dugger will likely be there in the backhalf of the second-round and he’d make an ideal fit next to Eddie Jackson. If the Bears get the opportunity to pair the two up, they could easily make the best safety tandem in the NFL over the next four years.
