Chicago Bears Mock Draft: Adding an intriguing quarterback
By Usayd Koshul
Round Two, Pick 43: WR Tee Higgins, Clemson
This pick, for some who aren’t familiar with Tee Higgins, would raise some eyebrows. Why would the Bears invest their first pick into wide receiver with Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller already on the roster. The answer: Talent and potential.
Let’s say Higgins does in fact slip to 43rd overall. Pairing Higgins with Robinson would help the Bears offense tremendously next season. Additionally, this would also allow for the Bears to figure out slot receiver by moving Anthony Miller into the slot.
Higgins is a fit in the Bears offense because he’s played in multiple spots while at Clemson and also uses his size to box out smaller defenders. The reality with Higgins is that he can also create a lot of mismatches for any offense.
Higgins is certainly interesting because he could end up being a first-rounder but then also slip to the second round. And if he ends up slipping, he could be considered as the steal of day one or two.
