Chicago Bears 2020 NFL Draft: Top 10 tight end targets
By Ryan Heckman
8. Thaddeus Moss, LSU
With this last name, you wouldn’t be shocked to see him make it to the NFL. Thaddeus Moss is, of course, the son of pro legend Randy Moss, and comes to the league as a do-it-all type tight end.
Believe it or not, Moss is not the most athletic guy. He doesn’t have that straight-line speed like his dad, nor can he jump out of the gym. However, his positive traits are great enough to help him have a long career in the NFL.

Moss is a menace. He’s nasty, physical and bullying in the way he blocks — you have to love that. He’s also able to use his strength and physicality to beat up on defensive backs before and after the catch. He has some of the best hands out of any tight end in his class, and once he catches the ball, good luck bringing him down with just one man.
7. Jared Pinkney, Vanderbilt
Jared Pinkney is kind of difficult to grade, because his final season at Vanderbilt was underwhelming due to a poor offense all around. But, he’s a solid receiving option at 6-foot-4. Pinkney has above average hands and adjusts well to the ball in the air.
He’s an athlete, but he isn’t overwhelmingly fast. He moves well in traffic and has long arms, giving him a wide catch radius. Pinkney is mostly a receiver, at his core, which is why he’ll find success. As a blocker, he needs a little work.
He could use an improvement on his overall speed, but his footwork is quick enough to help him get open. He also needs to improve how physical he plays if he’s going to make it at the NFL level.
