Round 6 Target: Lamar Jackson, CB, Nebraska

We talked about the Bears’ cornerback need earlier and come back to it again here late. The depth of this cornerback class is not overly impressive, but there are a few late-round guys who are worth paying attention to.

Nebraska cornerback Lamar Jackson is a big and physical cornerback prospect who has extremely long arms on the outside. He also moves extremely well for a 6-foot-2, 208-pound player. Jackson has sloppy technique and has not shown the best on-field instincts, but you simply cannot teach his blend of size and athleticism at the cornerback position. He would be a project player for the Bears, but Jackson could grow into a fantastic press cornerback on the outside.

Round 7 Target: Tyler Clark, IDL, Georgia

Former Georgia interior defensive lineman Tyler Clark shows an impressive blend of power and quickness that should play at the next level. He has good length, strong hands and quick reactions on the field. Clark can step in and take on blocks in a two-gap role, but also shows some upside as a one-gap penetrator.

Adding Clark to the mix would only be a depth addition for the Chicago Bears, but he is a rock-solid player who could quickly become a strong rotational player on the interior for the team. If Clark is around in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Bears could certainly do worse than bringing him into the mix.
