Chicago Bears: Three trade packages for Leonard Fournette
Trade 3
The Chicago Bears already took a quarterback from the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason. Well, they could give one back if both sides wanted. Mitchell Trubisky and a sixth-round draft pick would be nice compensation for a running back with somewhat low value. Trubisky leaving would allow Nick Foles to assume the role as the starting quarterback for 2020. The Jaguars would also receive a sixth-round pick along with Trubisky which could go a long way for them.
Trubisky would be walking into a similar situation in Jacksonville. Their defense is pretty good but the offense is horrible. He would have to compete with Gardner Minshew for the job as the starting quarterback there. Minshew made it where they wanted to trade away Nick Foles but as far as pure talent, Mitch probably has him beat. It would just be a matter of Mitch figuring out how to put it all together.
Trubisky has had a rough go in Chicago. It is clear to most people that he already has one foot out of the door so maybe a change of scenery for him would be good. There is no sense in waiting if they know that he has no future with the Bears. Jacksonville might be willing to take the risk because they really don’t have much to lose right now. The Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans have a few reasons to believe they could be playoff teams again in 2020 and the Indianapolis Colts are always hit or miss lately. These trades might be worth making for both clubs.
