3. CB Noah Igbinoghene, Auburn

The Bears need a cornerback as some say. But how big of a need is it? Even with the team showing confidence in Tre Roberson, Kevin Toliver, and Artie Burns, in what is a deep cornerback class, adding a cornerback to compete could be too hard to pass up on.

But the Bears need to avoid Noah Igbinoghene. A raw prospect who’s athleticism shows up on film, Igbinoghene has a long way to go before he’s really ready to be a full-time starter in the NFL. While the Bears do have veterans like Kyle Fuller and Buster Skrine who can help Igbinoghene develop, even their presence might not be enough.

Another issue with Igbinoghene is his technique. He’s not able to keep up with players once a play has fully developed and always seems to be playing catch up. Overall, this is a player who because he is fairly new to the position, has a lot of work to do and the Bears defensive coaching staff may not want to wait to develop someone who’s projected to be a second-round pick.
