Chicago Bears 2020 NFL Draft: Most likely players to drop to pick 43
By Ryan Heckman
Cornerback A.J. Terrell, Clemson
There are a few cornerback prospects I like for the Bears at this spot, but looking at it realistically, I think A.J. Terrell and Trevon Diggs will be the most likely candidates to fall in this area. Overall, I like Terrell as a prospect a bit more.

Terrell has the ideal size for an NFL corner at 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds. He also has even better speed than a guy like Jeff Okudah. Terrell ran his 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds at the Combine, which is plenty fast to keep up with NFL wideouts.
Having played against some of the better receivers in college football, Terrell is no stranger to elite competition. He is a pretty smart kid, having the patience and wherewithal not to bite too hard on certain routes and stay with receivers.
The one thing I would like to see out of Terrell if he were to play in Chicago is being better at taking the ball away and going after the football, period. He didn’t have too much success in that area at Clemson, totaling 13 passes defended and six interceptions in three seasons with the Tigers.
Still, he could come to the Bears and have a real shot to start right away. Plus, playing on a defense which should afford him plenty of opportunities to score takeaways is a positive.
