Chicago Bears 2020 NFL Draft: Most likely players to drop to pick 43
By Ryan Heckman
Running Back D’Andre Swift, Georgia
We can debate all day long about which is the best running back in this year’s class, but the fact is, the Bears could get him at no. 43. If that’s D’Andre Swift, the Bears could end up getting a guy to pair with David Montgomery who would presumably end up starting instead.

I understand people like Montgomery. I do too. But, to be able to get a three-down back like Swift at pick 43 and have such a dynamic running back duo is very, very appealing.
Let’s talk about Swift a little. He’s a stocky, strong, fast back who can do it all. His frame allows him to really use his power well. At 5-foot-8 he is small enough to get lower than everybody else and burst through the line, but not too small.
Swift is a great combination of speed and power, with the ability to catch the football, too. Over his three seasons at Georgia, Swift averaged a healthy 6.6 yards per carry and rushed for over 2,200 yards in his two seasons as a starter.
You put a guy like Swift on the Bears, who has the full package, and the offense is immediately better. I get the argument of not taking a running back this early, but the value would be tremendous.
