Tight end is not as big of a need for the Chicago Bears after they signed Jimmy Graham to a free-agent contract this offseason. That being said, they could certainly use some depth at the position, especially if they can find a player who can fill a variety of roles.

With extreme versatility on the offensive side of the ball, Dalton Keene feels like a perfect fit for this team. Keene is listed as a tight end, but he is so much more than that. At Virginia Tech, Keene played inline tight end, H-back, full back and even took some snaps out of the slot. He was also a strong special teams contributor for the team.

Keene is an extremely competitive player who gives it his all on every single play. He does not have the most natural strength as a blocker, but he is going to grind through and get the job done a huge majority of the time.

Keene did not get a lot of opportunities to make an impact in the passing game in college, but he does show some interesting upside in that area. His hands are soft and he shows some nice run after catch ability. Keene does a fantastic job of securing the ball and getting upfield quickly. He is not the most explosive player, but he does have some nice speed and elusiveness with the ball in his hands.

I like Keene as a late-round depth addition for the Chicago Bears in the 2020 NFL Draft. He has a great attitude and could come in and take on an immediate depth role with this team, pitching in wherever he is needed. On top of that, Keene has some nice long-term upside and he could legitimately develop into a solid starting tight end option down the line.
